All Good People Here

All Good People Here is a fast-paced thriller set in mid-west America that delivers. A young girl goes missing and the case is similar to a disappearance of another girl–from twenty years ago. Margot returns to her hometown and becomes obsessed with finding the link between the cases. Quite excellent for a debut novel. Ashley Flowers makes her first move into fiction from her long-running true-crime podcast Crime Junkie. Some readers will notice similarities in plot elements to the JonBenet Ramsey case–particularly how speculation impacted the family, the community, the investigators, and the press. This prompts the reader to consider the complicated role of journalism in justice.

Tasting Notes

Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA: medium body, fruit-forward, pleasantly malty, hops mild for an IPA. 4/5
